WEEK NINETEEN!
TWO WEEKS TO GO TEAM !!!!
OK! The SPRING Super Challenge is about to launch. We do need some feedback though.
Do you want a break between the two events?
Will have details out this week on how the new challenge will work.
The best way to travel? With your biking shorts. Here is Wally and I at Red Rock Canyon / Cottonwood Valley in Nevada, altitude 4000 feet plus (and you can feel it). Here's what they say about the ride -
"Not for the faint at heart! This trail is designed for the more advanced rider with adventure on their mind. Located in the foothills of the Spring Mountains, the Cottonwood Trail begins with a 700-foot gradual ascent to Cottonwood Pass followed by an exciting slalom descent. Combine the thrill of a competitive mountain bike trail with the beauty of Red Rock Canyon; things couldn't be better."

Tuesday - In Nevada - 2 1/2 hours on the Cottonwood Trail - no oxygen - that's a workout.
Thursday - in room entertainment for 30 minutes - 26 pushups, 100 'jumping jacks', 125 sit ups, 100 'side-ups'
Friday - 33 minutes stationary biking
Saturday - 30 minutes biking
Sunday - Birds Hill Park - 45 minutes, one complete cycle of the park plus some icy side trail stuff. Does that make it the first ride of the year in Manitoba?
Hey Mapper - it's impossible to cheat in this family with full family participation - the trick is finding available equipment to exercise on. On Tuesday night I was on the treadmill while Shanna was on the bike, I switched to the bike while Holly worked out on the exercise ball and Shanna was doing skip rope with the rope whizzing past my ear... Toivi standing in line waiting for me to finish.
The family that gets together, sweats together. Or is it the other way around.
I have updated the 'blog weeks' from my trusty little activity calendar - scans available for anyone interested in further audits.
Tuesday - 2.45 Miles in 30 Minutes on the treadmill including warm-up and an additional 15 minutes on the bike at spin mode (85% THR). Would have gone longer but there was a queue for the bike.
For audit puropses I do a minimum of 25 situps every morning after I shower as well as other stretches except weekends including out of town and holidays.
